July 18-19th…Eureka, California and the Redwood Forest

Redwood Coast RV Park. Eureka doesn’t feel well loved these days…….the homeless rule the landscape. Sad to see and feels like California’s Golden Days are behind us. The coastline remains breathtaking and the State and National Parks are still in their glory. Beautiful and Hopeful.

Best Clams have ever had. Side trip to Ferndale, California. Kind of a mini Cape May with beautiful restored Victorian architecure.

Willow: I wonder if they’ll ever grow up……
Road sign observed on the Jeep drive back from Ferndale……………….
Jack: Never in my life seen that sign before, hope Karen doesn’t see it.
Karen: For real? Bears, falling off cliffs in an RV, and Tsunamis, oh my.
Willow: Jeeps are cool.

ON THRU THE REDWOOD FOREST!! Pictures won’t need words…………….

Except maybe this one……….

And this one………

And this one……how many times is Jack going to say Bigfoot? Could make it a drinking game.

Trees of Mystery….Home of the well endowed squirrel.

View of the coast on the drive north to the next destination. Crater Lake, Oregon. We can’t wait to see what tomorrow will bring…………………….
